Do You Have it?

Consider the following points on how leaders can get IT and keep ITIT is that intangible thing that differentiates between good and great!

For a church to be “different” in terms of impacting people’s lives, the leaders in that church must ascertain “do they have IT or not?” This aspect of Christian leadership cannot be taught it has to be caught.

The local church is the hope of the world and God uses people to reach and impact other people. In order to impact...we have got to have IT!

Act 2:42-47
(42) They joined with the other believers and devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship, sharing in the Lord's Supper and in prayer.  (43) A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders.  (44) And all the believers met together constantly and shared everything they had.  (45) They sold their possessions and shared the proceeds with those in need.  (46) They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord's Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity- (47) all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their group those who were being saved.

There are 4 distinct qualities when IT is present in the life of a believer and the local church.

1. They have a laser focus
• If you believe that being a Christian is important, then you must give your life for it.
• In order to reach people that others are not, you have to look at doing something different. Do things that others are not doing.
• Evaluate: Distinguish in what areas are you producing disciples.

2. Seek out opportunities
• What are you doing that you should stop doing?
• You have everything in you that you require and need to do what God has called you to do. Start looking for those opportunities.
• Evaluate: What is God trying to show you through your greatest limitations?

3. Failure is not the End
• If you want IT you must be prepared to fail.
• Peter thought he had it when he stepped out of the boat...and he failed.
• Shake off your spiritual failures and try harder.

4. Organisations that have it are led by people who have it
• In order to grow you have to have it!
• We are saved by Grace...and not by ourselves. (Eph 2: 8-9)
• Ask the question...what will impact people and what will Glorify God?
• Are you a fulltime or a part time follower of Christ? If you are not sure, consider doing the following.
     o Earnestly start praying again.
o Make God’s Word a part of your everyday life.
     o Fast, for your breakthrough.
• Allow God to break your heart all over again.

IF YOU DON’T HAVE IT...WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO TO GET IT?
